"Love & Sprockets" nine short films selected by Jarmusch

P.M. (A banned Cuban film from 1962) (Orlando Jiminez Leal & Saba Carera) - "A short hallucinatory trip in gritty, lyrical black and white through the degenerate nightlife of Havana, photographed just a few years after the revolution."

Towers Open Fire (William Burroughs and Brian Gyson) - "Two subversive minds investigate their "cut-up" strategy as applied to movie making. (Among other collaborations are THE CUT-UP MOVIE and the book "The Third Mind")."

They Caught the Ferry (Carl Dreyer) - "One of the most austere purists of cinema made a motorcycle movie! Though intended as a motor safety industrial, it's truly a great short film in its own right (and even includes an appearance by the Grim Reaper)."

Bimbo's Initiation (Max Fleischer) - "An exquisite example of American animated surrealism, and one of the weirdest cartoons I've ever seen. One wonders what sorts of drugs the Fleischer brothers were under the influence of..."

Film (Alan Schneider/Samuel Beckett) - "A perfect collaboration between Samuel Beckett and Buster Keaton (2 of my personal heroes). Beckett made his only trip to New York (and America) to observe the filming."

The Bowery (Sara Driver) - "A short, vivid portrait of New York's fascinating Bowery, with special appearances by writer Luc Sante and painter Joe Coleman."

Little Flags (Jem Cohen) - "Maybe not the greatest music video ever made, but this program needed a muisical interlued. Anyway, I love Old Dirty Bastard, and this clip also includes Rudy Ray Moore ("A big piece of leather and well put together") from his classic feature Dolemite."

Got Your Money (Old Dirty Bastard)

The High Sign (Buster Keaton) - "One of my favorite two-reelers by one of my favorite directors (and actors), in which Buster Keaton gets involved with an underground criminal cult, the Blinking Buzzards, who repeatedly flash their own secret gang sign!"
